*There’s a new buzz in the air as you enter the cafe, hums of a dozen TVs catch your attention as you stroll to the counter. One screen plays the highlights of the shootout between LA Galaxy and Cruz Azul, while the other plays the latest episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Everywhere you look, there’s a strange mashup of sports games, movies, and TV shows that the customers seem to be ingrained in.

As you approach the counter to order, you notice Dashboard is humming a catchy tune. The barista goes quiet in your presence and beams widely.*

*You eye the myriad of screens distractedly, overwhelmed by all of the different viewing options.*

As you can see, I got a new installment in the cafe. They’ve been quite the hit so far. Do you like them?

*You shrug. Do you prefer a bustling atmosphere or the quiet ambience of the cafe from earlier?*

Ah, I see.

Well, I couldn’t give up the opportunity to add them. Not after reading the stats about the interest people have taken in streaming services. There’s so much to watch nowadays, I thought this was a good direction for the cafe.

*Dashboard leans forward on the counter to see what is playing.*

Oh, yes. I see that you’ve had a hard time focusing on only one screen. Sports or rewatching your favorite Disney movie? Nowadays, you can easily watch both!

*Dashboard narrows his eyes at you, a coy smirk spreading across his face.*

But we both know what has been playing non-stop in both your living room and your headphones. 

K-Pop Demon Hunters?

*You try not to squirm at the suggestion, no matter if it’s true or not. Something about enjoying that animated movie feels embarrassing to you, somehow.*

Ah, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

The tunes are catchy. The animation is stunning. And the story is well written. In fact, according to TODAY, the movie has broken the record for being the most-watched original animated movie of all time! Not to mention, songs from the movie have been on Billboard’s Top 100 for a few weeks now.

So, what do you say? Should I get you a drink inspired by the animated movie?

Fox just announced its new streaming service, Fox One. For $19.99 a month…a hefty price in my opinion…users will be able to watch their favorite NFL and MLB sporting events live from the comfort of their own home. The streaming service will also broadcast college football and have an AI assistant for personalization. 

Fox One will be rivaled by Disney’s ESPN+ which will run for $29.99 a month.

*As Dashboard fills the cup with steaming, black coffee, you can basically feel the caffeine already pumping you up for the upcoming NFL season. Nothing better than cozy pumpkin spice football sweater weather. What a mouthful.*
