Seven years ago, Valerie Palmer brought Janice onto OTG’s operations and project management teams. She arrived with something hard to teach: firsthand experience inside Zayo, where she’d worked before joining OTG.

That perspective shapes our work. Having seen service delivery from the carrier side, Janice knows what drives a milestone date: what must happen upstream, where orders stall, and which escalations yield results. She used that insight to help OTG set proper delivery expectations instead of hoping for the best.

This also makes her a better partner because Janice speaks the same language as the Zayo Service Delivery Coordinators she works with daily. This shared understanding means fewer misread updates and faster resolutions for everyone. When a customer hits a billing discrepancy or an order issue, she tracks it down and resolves it.

“The company truly cares about their employees,” Janice responded when asked what her favorite part of working with OTG is.

When she isn’t working, Janice enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also spends a lot of time tending to her garden, which has become a team favorite update to hear about.
